This has all happened before.

I see your face again
For the first time.
Your smile, this laugh
Are familiar.

Love shows me I am on the correct path
With glimpses of moments
Where I step forward.

Looking within;
Dejå view.

The Selfish Shellfish

The Selfish Shellfish,
lived in his shell.
Outside, the others in Hell,
he would just yell.

All he needs is himself.
He grew up alone,
and how Love was shown
did not translate to women.

He loved his wife,
with all his life,
but something inside hid him.

When it was all over,
The Selfish Shellfish
moved out of his shell.
Then it was him in Hell.

The Way You Smiled Just There

How can fate not be true?
When I wound up sitting next to you.
Or rather you sat by me.

To see your hair;
The way you smiled just there.
What a trip, after all.
I may pray
For more delays.

Music is Sport, Sport is Music

Some say cut music but keep sport.
The day is long,
But the life is short.

Why not promote happiness?
Better yet,
Encourage it.

The same skills are learned,
Teamwork and dedication;
When to take your turn.

There is just less competition.
But must we teach children
That only the strong survive?
I know the happy thrive.

So realize this;
Whether Home Runs,
Bach or Liszt,
Life does not end when the final bell hits.

Blissful Tide

When I die, cremate me.
Let no one see what isn’t free.

Look inside. I’ll reside
In the blissful tide,
Patiently waiting for you
To dive in too.

Anxiety

It’s just you and me, Anxiety;
My body tightens,
my brain swims.
I wish I could crawl
out of my skin.
You drink, you smoke,
can’t cope, you choke.
When will you learn
from past mistakes?
Your fists are clenched,
your stomach aches.
You want to die,
but it won’t come.
Hell, it must be.
Eternity?

drowning

When they say it’s down I’m up.
When they say it’s up I’m down.
Are they behind, or am I?
When they say swim I drown.

never far

whether i am here,
or even worse i am there;
we are never far apart
because i am always in your heart.

continue your journey

when you lose faith
when you lose patience
when you lose all hope
there is your salvation

when you see the light
when you continue to fight
when you feel nothing can stop you
don’t forget the hard times

pride fell greater men and women

open casket

when the soul leaves you,
body is nothing more than
a human cocoon.

an open casket to me
is a disgrace to your memory.
you lived & lived & lived;
that’s what I want to remember.
